Author's note- well, this is the end. By the end, you will know the solution. I have laid out all of the clues. I realize that there are a lot of things I could have done better and am already plotting out a sequel. Again, non-abusive comments are always welcome.

Murder in Pink

by Tanya Lynn

I drove into the gate of the mansion and up to the guesthouse. I had dressed in a T-shirt and jeans and wore my 9MM pistol under my arm very visibly under a light jacket. I was going to get the killer no matter what. I entered the guesthouse and saw Steve with all of the suspects and Diego Sanchez there. Steve was by himself, with no backup for now, but that was the way I wanted it. I had told him that I had only theory and that we might have to use a little coercion that he wouldn't want others to see. He agreed, because he was still in a murderous mood over my sexual assault.

I wasted no time with niceties and ran down the suspects and who had what motive. I then said I would first explain the how and then the who. The how was relatively simple. The old lady had been found frozen to death in the panic room. I said that the method of death had always bothered me. It was an extremely difficult way to kill someone, and seemed impossible to do in a normal room in the few hours between when I had seen her and when she was found. She also never set off the alarm, so how did she get frozen so fast that she couldn't have done that. The reason was simple- she had been dead for days- frozen in the freezer in the house. They all started to yell and argue at this, but I said I would explain when I pointed out the guilty parties. My use of the plural started them off again. This time I had to pull out my gun to settle them down. Steve pointed out the one problem with this- the woman was locked by herself in a room whose door had to have been locked from the inside. I said this was also very simple. The killer didn't use the door. Steve pointed out that the walls were supposed to be solid steel. I asked Diego if I could borrow one of his bodyguards and had him use a sledgehammer on them. The one with the door and two others rang of steel when he broke through the plasterboard over it. The fourth one simply had a hole in it. The sledgehammer had broken through to the outside. I said, "this is the reason for the extra steel plate- it was never extra. The two construction workers who were killed were paid off to build this wall quickly and the killed when they got too greedy. Juan stumbled across the plot and was killed for it at the same time. I already knew the who when I figured out this part, but this only confirmed it for me. The old lady's body was placed in here and the final wall was finished. I imagine some CSI guys' jobs may be in trouble for not checking the walls closely enough." They all sat there in stunned silence, although two of them were faking it. Diego broke the silence by saying "who turned my boy against me, damn it! I want their head on a platter!"

I then looked at each of them and two of them noticeably flinched now. They knew that I knew. I said, "I don't care how this comes out. If you wind up dead at Diego's hand or in jail, it's fine with me. There will be justice for this mass of destruction you created. Wanna make it easy and confess? I thought not. If the old lady was dead when I saw her, that means she had to be an imposter, and if so, you must have known!" I spun and faced Diane. "You had to be in on it. The question became who was the imposter. That wasn't hard to figure. You and Hector alibied each other for the time of the murder, on a long distance phone call. But, the construction noises in the background of the call were that wall being built! I was reminded recently how easy it is for hate to turn to love. You two plotted together to take control of the family fortune and the Chili business and the Mexican mob with Diego's son. The one thing you never counted on was that someone would guess that the fake Lydia was played by Hector. You really should be more careful to cover your panties, Hector. I have nothing against crossdressing, but the pink panties gave you away. When I saw some gangbangers recently with their underwear hanging out, I remembered seeing them and it all came together."

He swore and leapt to his feet. He grabbed Diane and said, "we're out of here" and pulled a gun. They pointed it at me and said "but first, we take you out for once and for all". I had heard that Diego's bodyguards were good, but their speed was blinding as they drew and unloaded their guns into both of them. I had been careful not to be between them and Diane and Hector. Diego said, "even though you killed my son, they were responsible. I owe you a great debt of honor". I didn't contradict him, because I saw the value of that kind of connection.

I looked at Steve and asked if he needed me there, and when he said no, I borrowed his car and went to the office and took off my T-shirt and jeans and then my bra and panties. I removed the breastforms and my artificial pussy and removed my makeup. I put on some jockey shorts and jeans and a dress shirt. I combed my hair back to a man's style. I needed some down time now that the case was over. I went into David's office and started working on some paperwork.

A few hours passed when Steve came in and told me that they had come up with a story that covered all of the bases. He then just sat and looked at me for a while. I finally said, "what?" He said, "I was really hoping to see Tanya when I got here." I told him that I was taking a break, but she was still there- she was me too. He said that he would take her to dinner if she were here. I was so confused by the emotions that all of this case had caused. I decided, what the hell and told him to pick me up at home later. I went into the dressing room and got redressed as Tanya and went home. After a shower, I carefully got redressed in an evening gown. Steve was in a suit when he picked me up and we went to my favorite Italian place and then to a club. We danced to classic rock until 2am and then he took me home. I think it was someone else who asked him to come in for a while. I got him a drink and smoked a bowl of pot, and then we sat for a while with his arm around me. Then, he kissed me.

Dave, Tanya, Steve, and the rest will return in Murder in House as soon as I detox from the emotions this one stirred up in me. I will take some of the reader's suggestions and work to improve the storyline. Again, feel free to email me with non-abusive suggestions or comments. Peace, Tanyalynn
