The New Fantasy 15

by

Walking home from school in a black blouse, black Capri pants and white high heels sands, Pam stopped before the boutique window. A plastic skeleton had on a wig and dress on, a laying down mannequin had a mermaid costume on. Two standing up mannequins were dressed as an angel and a devil. The final mannequin had a wig that made it hair look on fire white it stood in a red evening gown and had a black purse over it shoulder.

"I'll have to get some money from my spare purse if I'm to purchase a costume for this weekend's party." Pam said as Jane came walking up in a white dress and sling back shoes.

When the girls walked into the house, Pam spotted a note taped to the fridge door. "Oh great," she muttered as she read it.

HAD TO RETURN TO WORK FOR AN EMERGENCY MEETING

YOU CAN FIX DONALD AND YOURSELF ANYTHING YOU

WANT FOR DINNER. NO TAKE OUT. WATCH DONALD

TILL I RETURN.

LOVE MOM.

"So much for the mall," Jane sighed.

"Nothing doing," said Pam stubbornly. "We'll just have to take him with us."

"He won't like it." Jane giggled.

"You don't know Don." Pam said as she listed to fast foot steps and a door slam upstairs. "Come on and I'll show you."

When the girls got upstairs and went into Pam's room, they found one of her dresses' on the floor, her shoes partly kicked under the bed and a bra and hose sticking half in and half out the dresser. "Mom and Don doesn't know I know his little secret."

"Yo, shrimp." Pam shouted. "Jane and I need to go to the mall so you're stuck with us!"

Donald came out of his room in a red tee shirt, blue denim jeans and white sneakers. "Can I hit the arcade?"

"Sure."

While Driving down to the mall, Pam notice while looking in the rear view mirror the smile that would sometimes escape on Donald's face. When they walking in and Don tried walking to the arcade; however, Pam grabbed his arm.

"I thought you said I could play video games?" Don protected.

"After Jane and I do some shopping you can play games while I pick us up something at the food court." Pam said. "You're going to the weekend party too. Maybe we can find something for you."

As Pam went through the racks, she settled on a bride's costume while Jane picked out a princess outfit. As Pam looked at some of the boutique's non-costume racks, she picked out a violet dress and shoved Don into the dressing room. "Try this on!"

"Hey!" Donald shouted as he tried to open the door, but Pam and Jane held it shut. "I'm not wearing a dress."

"You're not coming out until you're changed." Pam giggled as she saw from the crack under the door that Donald had kick off his sneakers and removed his clothes. "You know you want to."

"You look lovely." Pam smiled as Donald looked at himself in an available mirror and only saw a young coming of age girl staring pack. "I know the perfect high heel boots to go with that dress. They'll hurt your feet but trust me on the look."

After grabbing pizza at the food court, Jane notice Donald sitting cross legged in his new dress and staring at the salon across from them. A smile spread across the two girls faces. "You want a full make over, Debra?"

"Debra?" Don asked puzzled.

"You hardly look like a Donald." Pam giggled. Don just blushed and nodded.

Donald had a lip wax, leg wax, manicure and pedicure. Donald knew that he had just started shaving and knew that his mother wouldn't notice his nails if he was careful at home.

That night after Pam had taking him shopping with her, Donald had a weird dream. He dreamed his sister was dressed as a mad scientist in a lab while he laid on a table in a hospital gown. After a mannequin was turn on, his brain was transferred to one of his sister's old 9 inch dolls. When he stood on his fused toes he found himself walking on his tip toes only and unable to flatten his feet. His sister gave him some red plastic shoes to wear.

"What to play some baseball, Debra?" Pam asked.

"What's baseball?" Donald asked. As he tried to remember anything he like to do all he could think of was ballet, dolls and tea parties. "Not all women are like that. They play spots and such too.

He woke up in a cold sweat. As he up his blanket to his neck, his maroon polish toes poked out of the other end. Her mom had turned on the light as she came in to find out why she was screaming.

"Are you okay?" His mother asked as Donald quickly tired to hide his toe polish. "Didn't you enjoy going with your sister shopping and then the salon?"

"Y…yes." Donald sniffed. "I liked it. That's the problem. Mother, I'm not loosing what makes me a man, am I?"

"You can be anything you want." His mother said softly. "After your father died of cancer, I decided all I wanted was you to grow up happy. If being my daughter makes you happy, it makes me happy…Debra."

"Thanks." The new Debra said as she hugged her mother with her pink finger polish hands. "You're wonderful, mother."

That weekend Debra started hormones and wore her older sister's old cheer leader outfit. Since Pam went as a bride and her date as a groom, they had a pretend wedding as their contest performance. Debra joined about of other cheerleaders and competed for the best cheer leader award. Debra was surprise when she won.
