Summertime Pinks

by Little Katie

Part 3

As often is the case, when I deal with certain issues I keep them as a separate section and usually that section isn't as long as the others. I hope that it is to everyone's enjoyment.

Billy fell into a sound sleep, resting comfortably in his older sister's arms. The sweet smell of lavender filled his spirit with warmth and joy. As he enjoyed the completeness of self he felt, his spirit decided to drift off elsewhere.

Billy found himself standing in a bedroom that seemed very familiar but one he didn't recognize right away. The dark pink walls and white molding let him know that this was definitely a girls room. He looked at himself in the full length mirror on the door. Slowly he saw himself shrinking, shrinking into a toddler. He simply excepted this transformation as fact and didn't get nervous or scared. His clothes that he was wearing fell off and soon disappeared as they hit the floor. He looked at his naked body, his hair was longer then usual and his blue eyes seemed bigger then ever and his penis, though it was there, looked smaller then ever.

Billy turned away from the mirror, confused at how much of a girl he looked like in the mirror. If it wasn't for that blasted penis, he would of been happy. It disturbed him to see it. He walked over to the bed and had to climb on it to lay atop it. He lay on his belly, and with crayons in hands began to work on a coloring book. He was amazed at all the pretty pictures of princesses and fairies. He didn't remember ever seeing them before but they seemed familiar.

"There you are pumpkin princess," Mom said after she opened the door.

"Mommy," Billy turned around and smiled as a slightly younger version of his mom walked over to the bed.

"I see Mommy's little princess is ready for her bath and probably can't wait for her birthday party tomorrow."

"Yeah." Billy cried out in happiness and clapped his hands.

"And how old is the princess going to be tomorrow?"

Billy held up four fingers and looked at them in awe.

"That's right you are going to be four. Now lets get you into the bath. Baby Amanda is taking her nap and Julie is downstairs playing."

"Yes, mommy." Billy lifted his arms and allowed his mom to whisk him away to the bathroom. She filled up the tub a quarter of the way and added bubble bath for the child. She gently washed the child, using the greatest of gentleness. She made sure that no soap got into the child's eyes as she washed her hair and made sure that all areas were clean.

"All clean," Billy announced as his mother pulled the drain plug and he clapped as the water spiraled down the pipes.

"Yes you are pumpkin, you are a very clean little girl."

"Yeah," Billy clapped and was lifted into a soft terry cloth towel. His mom sufficiently dried him and then placed the toddler onto another towel that was laid on the bed.

"Are you ready to be a beautiful baby today."

"Yes mommy." Billy smiled at his mother.

"Good, because your little friend is going to be coming over today."

"Goody."

Mom took out some baby powder and sprinkled it over the child's bottom. Billy giggled at the sensation of talc tickling him. Soon a diaper was placed underneath him and his mother fastened it carefully. She then put on a pair of white tights and followed it with a white T-shirt that was covered with little red hearts. After that a pink play dress was put on the little child.

"My, my, what a pretty little baby you are."

"Pretty Chrissy." Billy smiled and then received kisses from his mother. He was carried downstairs and placed in the living room with Julie.

"Hi Julie-sister."

"Hi baby Chrissy, you want to play house."

Billy nodded yes.

"Good," Julie gave a big toothy smile, "I am the mommy and you are the baby."

"Goody." Billy clapped.

The two children played for an hour while there mother took care of household chores. Billy sucked on his bottle of juice as his sister rocked him and sung him a lullaby.

He almost fell asleep but his mother came in and lifted him high into the air over her head. The sensation made him laugh as he stared down at his mother. She then returned him to her hip and carried him into the kitchen. There another lady was there with a small boy. He recognized the lady a Glenn's mom and assumed that the blonde haired little toddler had to be Glenn.

"Hi Chrissy," Glenn said and blushed as Billy was placed by his side.

"Hi Glenn," Billy said and soon found him being pulled by the hand into the corner of the room.

The two tikes played with each other as the adults talked. Billy found his concentration being divided between playing with Glenn and the toddler toys on the floor and what the adults were talking about. Glenn would often give him pecks on the cheeks and lips and that also served as a distraction.

"So you made up your mind," Mrs. Henderson said.

"Yeah, it looks like I am going to loose my little girl."

Billy didn't fully understand what she was saying.

"So you are going to make her live as a boy?"

"Well she has the boy parts and my husband said we should let her live as one. He said there are more advantages to being a boy and that we have two other girls besides."

"So when is this going to happen?"

"Well tomorrow will be her last day as a girl, then we will start having a boy around the house. The doctors have to do what they must as well. Probably a lot of counseling is going to be involved."

"So I guess they are going to have a short lived romance," Mrs. Henderson said referring to the children that were holding hands.

"Yes its unfortunate but I suppose my husband is right. He deserves a chance at having a son too, you know."

The room began to spin around Billy, he got dizzy and fell to the floor with a boom. When he came back to his senses he was sitting in a booster seat. He looked down and saw that he was wearing a fancy white dress with a pink sash that was made into a bow behind him. A large cake was in front of him with five birthday candles. Four for the number of years and one for good luck. He took a big deep breath and blew out all the candles in one try. Everyone around, mostly adults, clapped and cheered. Billy was given a piece of cake. He carefully ate it, making sure none of it got on his pretty dress.

Billy closed his eyes for a second, when he opened them he was back in his room. His dad was busy painting it a dark blue.

"Isn't that much better Billy?"

Billy hated the color and just looked at his dad wondering what he was talking about.

"Billy, that's your name from now on. Your my son and I love and I will get you whatever toys you want to replace your old girl toys that you hate."

"No," Billy cried.

"Yes, you better get use to it. You are a boy, that is what God made you and we are getting rid of all this disgusting girl stuff."

Billy turned his head and saw trash bags full of all his pretty clothes and toys.

"No," Billy jumped off the bed and ran to save a doll that was his favorite. He noticed that it was the same one he was playing with the day before with Amanda. He then wondered when he became four and why he was in pants. A quick whack on his diapered bottom brought him back to the current reality.

"You are not to play with girl stuff do you hear me, or I'll take your diaper off and give you a real spanking."

Billy stood in the middle of the room crying as his dad lifted the garbage bags and walked out of the room. When his dad was gone he looked into the drawers. It was full with pants and shirts, but no dresses or skirts. All his socks had stripes on him and none of the frilly socks remained. All the colors were ugly blues and blacks. There were no purples or pinks. It was like he went in reverse of what happened the previous two days.

Billy realized that this had to be a dream, as soon as he realized that he woke up with a gasp. He sat up in bed and looked around. He was still in his Julie's room and she was resting soundly next to him. He wondered what the dream meant, and how real it seemed. He tried to go back to sleep, but he couldn't stop from thinking about the dream. It scared him how real and how wrong everything seemed.

Billy slowly got out of his sisters bed and walked down the hall. He knocked on his moms door lightly when he heard the television was still on.

"Come in," his mom called out.

Billy gently opened the door and walked in front of his mother's bed.

"What's wrong pumpkin?"

"I had a dream."

"Oh did you have a nightmare?"

"I don't know, it was just weird and now I can't fall back asleep."

"Why don't you tell me about it and maybe that would help."

Billy proceeded to tell his mother all the details of his dream. How he was about to turn four and how he was in dresses and about the birthday party. He told her about his dad painting the room and throwing away all the girl stuff and about seeing the doll that he was playing with in Amanda's room. How when he realized it was a dream he woke up and couldn't fall back asleep.

"That was definitely an interesting dream," mom said as she hugged the child.

"What's it mean."

"Sit down on the bed, I want to show you something."

"Okay, will it help?"

"Well it will help you forget your dream maybe." Mom went into her walk-in closet and pulled out an old photo book. The cover was pillow-like with soft pink cloth covering it and white ribbons on the four corners.

Mom sat down next to Billy and opened up the book to the first pages. It was a bunch of pictures of a little girl, doing various things.

"Do you know who this is?" Mom asked.

"Julie I guess."

"Nope."

"Amanda?"

"Nope."

"Then who?"

"This is of you, when you were still a baby."

"No it's not," Billy figured his mom was teasing him a little.

"Does this look familiar," mom turned to the last page. There was the girl wearing the same party dress that he was wearing in the dream. Also there was Glenn standing right next him, holding his hand.

"Oh so that's why everyone keeps saying a girl like I use to be."

"Who said that?"

"Julie said it and Glenn said it."

"Well I guess this is what they meant. This is how you lived until you turned four. Right after your birthday we had you live all the time as a boy."

"But I am a boy."

"Yes you are but then you were also a girl."

"How can I be a boy and a girl at the same time?"

"It's rare but it happens. You were born as both. Look at this." Mom turned to the second page, there was a picture of a naked baby, both genitalia could be seen plain as day. "We were going to wait until you were older to let you chose but when your dad saw we were raising you just like your sisters he thought we should chose right then and let you grow up as one or the other.

"And you chose a boy."

"Well your dad wanted a son and after Amanda was born I could no longer have any other children. Your dad convinced me to let you be a boy, he figured you both would be happier that way."

"But I wasn't."

"Evidently not, but we didn't know that. You went in for a couple of surgeries and after a year it looked like you were really comfortable with being a boy. You did little league and hung out with your dad a lot. We figured it would stick, but now look at you."

"How could you?"

"We were trying to do what was best. We didn't think you would forget all about the surgeries and your baby years."

"Did you use to call me Chrissy?"

"Yes we did, in fact that is the name on your birth certificate."

"Can you go back to calling me that?"

"Sure if that is what you want."

"It is."

"Are you mad at me or your dad?"

"I don't know. How can you do this to me. I thought there was something wrong with me because I wanted to be a girl and now I find out that I was one."

"We didn't do it out of spite, we wanted you to be happy."

"Was I happy as Chrissy before you did this," Billy lifted his nightgown showing his minuscule penis to his mom.

"I'm sorry," Mom started to cry because she remembered how happy Billy was as a girl and how many tears were shed as they made him transform into a boy. She remembered how he cried as his dad shaved off his long locks and how pretty he use to be.

"I'm sorry," Billy said softly, "I didn't mean to make you cry. I'm just so confused inside."

"I know, I understand. We should of waited."

"Can they change me back. I mean can I be all girl instead of boy."

"Yes, they can. If you want."

"I want to be Chrissy again mommy, I want to be happy again."

"Okay baby, we will get it done. I will make your dad make things right."

"Promise?"

"Yes I promise, Christine."

"Thanks mom."

"How about you stay in here for the night little girl, keep me company."

"Okay." Christine smiled and then got under the covers.

"How about we do some shopping tomorrow and get you your own clothes. This way you don't have to keep borrowing Amanda's stuff."

"Cool, can Glenn come too?"

"Sure, but why?"

"He's my boyfriend." Christine gave a wry smile.

"Sure, thing." Mom laughed.

"Good."

Soon Christine was back asleep, her head was against her mother's bosom and the sound of her heart was almost hypnotic. Her sleep was now as restful as ever.

This chapter was short, but boy did it pack some stuff in or what? Please comment.
