| Making the mistake of nagging my mother because she complained of the way
her period dresses fit once to often, I was informed that I was going to experience what
she went through! Calling a it a frock, she showed me what I was going to wear, and after
a very short argument, which I lost, I soon found myself being fitted, but not for a
dress, but a corset! My life went into a spiral from that moment on as I discovered that
dressing has it's advantages, like winning a car. But the best came when my father saw me
in my ball gown, and he realized what had happened to me. He hated losing to the obvious,
while I hated losing a challenge. Somehow, I think we both won, but it was a struggle we

| Being a boy that wants to be a girl is a tortuous thing by itself. Being a
skinny, geeky kid with pimples doesn't help, but when your parents find out…life
becomes very tough. That was me. I spent years listening to my father calling me ugly
names, beating me as he tried to cast out what was driving me, almost like an exorcist.
Years of that culminated in being thrown out of the house, leaving me to find my way in
the world alone, and just when I did, my parents showed up! Facing them as the woman I had
become, using my newly found inner strength allowed me to tell them both how I felt, but
it only felt better for a moment, and our relationship never improved. Maybe it will
