| It all started after we went to the cabaret, when my sister decided
that like the performer we saw, that I could become just as gorgeous a woman as he was. I
didn't think so, but after some nagging, gave in, and found out that Claire wasn't far off
the mark. Then by happenstance, I found myself drawn into being a girl for just one party,
which became more and more as time went on, and the emotional toll it took on me left me
no choice but to make the only decision possible. I became a girl, full time. What I had
thought was hard, was merely the beginning as I met Bill, who raised my expectations
beyond what I thought possible. I was wrong about that. I had been wrong about almost

outcome, he took three a day. Months went by with no change, then the growing began, and
he quickly found himself unable to wear anything but baggy clothes. Hiding his new
"options" became a full time job, but as he began to skip gym classes reports
went home, which is when the truth came out. His entire family was turned upside down as
they coped with the obvious changes, but his father, unable to accept the fact that his
son looked like his daughter, demanded a solution. When he got it, he had to find a way to
accept his newest daughter, fighting the urge to deny it the whole time, yet in the end,

| Caught once again in my mothers clothes, she had gone out and bought me an
outfit, complete with ribbons and shoes, then took me for a walk down the street, right
past my friends, the guys I played baseball with, but they did not recognize me. I was 12
at the time, and adding fuel to the shame I felt, the only girl in our neighborhood saw
us, and with a flourish, mom introduced me to Teri as Catherine, which set in motion an
entire summer as a girl, complete with a date to a party. By the time summer was over and
I had to return to my boy self, I was a miserable wreck, which lasted for the entire
school year. Then, the following spring mom gave in and let me become Cathy again. Heaven
could not be as sweet as that day I returned as a girl. Age: Teenager

well up from below, especially after spending hours learning how to do makeup, fix your
hair and dress. Taking the chance, and going out can relieve the tension, but only the
love of family and friends can make you feel complete. Yet, when that first time out
results in more than you bargained for, and sets in motion a sequence of events out of
your control, all you can do is ride it out and hope for the best. Facing your parents,
telling then how you feel is hard, yet must be done, and facing your father, telling him
that you want to dismiss everything he taught you about being a man, is the hardest. I
did, and discovered more about myself and my family than I ever realized. Age: College Age 19-26

| It started long before, when I was a child with my sister and I playing
dress up. It grew to be more, then the drama coach told us that our leading lady was being
transferred! In discussions, she let it be known that for centuries men have played
women's roles, and made it clear that it was now my turn. But that would expose what I
felt! In the end, I took the role, both to satisfy my inner desires and stay in the play,
but I had no idea that once I started, there would be no end in sight, nor the turmoil my

| Learning the truth about yourself can be exhilarating, but living it can
be traumatic. Facing your parents, fully dressed as a girl returning from a date was only
the tip of the iceberg. The dangerous part was well below the waterline. A mother learning
her son wants to be a girl, a father holding tightly to his urges to get violent, one
scared boy wearing a dress, the combination stirred by bigotry and hate, resulting in the
greatest lesson that can be learned in life. Age: Teenager

| It started when, bored out of our minds, my wife suggested that I try
dressing up as a woman. I agreed to try it, because I had done it before with my sister
when we were kids. As the days became weeks I rarely wore my own clothes, quickly drawn
into the role of a woman. But with each passing day I felt as if I had to do something to
let me look more normal, so I took the steps that would allow me to look like a woman
while wearing almost anything. That's when the end began, although we didn't know it at
